Progress in Human Embryology

A new life comes from a beautiful encounter between the sperm and the egg in the oviduct. The fertilized ovum proliferates and differentiates during the following 40 weeks. There are so many interesting and unpredictable events than a mother’s viewing of her embryo during the ultrasound examination. Who controlled the occurrence of these events? Embryo induction? Gene transcription? Epigenetic regulation? Or cell signaling? More clinical malformation cases and more scientific enlightenment.
