Genealogy: n. a drawing or description that explains how each family member is related to the others家谱,系谱

Works and Days: a didactic poem written by Hesiod 《工作与时日》

Theogony: a poem by Hesiod describing the origins of the Greek gods 《神谱》

Archaic: adj. from or relating to ancient times  古代的,古老的

Tartarus: n. the deep abyss where the Titans were imprisoned  塔耳塔洛斯,地狱

Gaia /Gaea/Ge: n. the goddess of the earth  盖亚,希腊神话中的大地女神

Chaos: n.卡俄斯,混沌之神

Primordial: adj. existing at the beginning of time原始的

Intangible: adj. things do not exist physically or feeling is difficult to describe无形的,难以描绘的

Inherent: adj. that is a basic or permanent part of sb /sth  固有的,内在的

Erebus (Darkness):n. Greek god of darkness 厄瑞玻斯,黑暗的化身

Nyx (black Night): n. Greek goddess of the night 尼克斯,夜的化身

Aether (brightness): n. the personification of space and heaven 埃忒耳,太空之神

Uranus / Ouranos (Heaven): n. the personification of the sky 乌拉诺斯,天神

Ourea (Mountains): n. the god of mountains 乌瑞亚,山神

Pontus (Sea):n. the god of the sea 蓬托斯,海神

Steadfast: adj. unwavering or determined in purpose, loyalty 坚定不移的,不变的

Cyclops: n. a big man who only has one eye 库克普罗斯,独眼巨人

Oceanus: n. the ruler of the sea before Poseidon 俄亥阿诺斯,海洋之神

Tethys: n. a Titaness and sea goddess, wife of Oceanus 特提斯,沧海女神

Oceanids: n. the ocean nymphs born of Oceanus and Tethys 俄亥阿尼得斯,海洋女神

Hyperion: n. a Titan, son of Uranus and Gaea 许珀里翁 (泰坦神族)

Theia: n. the Titaness who was mother of Helios and Selene and Eos 忒伊亚 

Helios: n. the god of the sun 赫利俄斯,太阳神

Selene: n. the Greek goddess of the moon 塞勒涅,月亮女神

Eos: n. the winged goddess of the dawn 厄俄斯,黎明女神

Mnemosyne (Memory): n. the goddess of memory 谟涅摩叙涅,记忆女神

Muses: n. the nine goddesses, presiding over literature and the arts and sciences 缪斯

Themis: n. a goddess of order and justice 忒弥斯,正义女神

the Fates (Greek, Moirae): n. refers to three mythological goddesses 命运三女神

Horae (the Hours): n. the goddesses of the seasons 时序女神

Dike (Justice): n. the Greek goddess of moral justice 正义女神

Iapetus: n. the Titan in ancient mythology 伊阿佩托斯,古希腊神话中的提坦神

Prometheus: n. a Titan, stealing fire from Olympus to give to human 普罗米修斯

Atlas: n. a Titan punished to support the sky on his shoulders 阿特拉斯,擎天巨神

Epimetheus: n. brother of Prometheus 厄庇墨透斯,普罗米修斯的弟弟

Crius: n. one of the Titans 克利奥斯,提坦神,生长之神

Nike (victory): n. the winged goddess of victory 胜利女神

Kratos (power): n. the personification of strength and power 奎托斯,力量的化身

Bia (force):  暴力神

Phoebe: n. a Titaness, the goddess of the moon  福柏,月亮女神

Coeus: n. the Titan god of intellect  科俄斯,暗与智力之神

Deification: n. the condition of being treated like a god  神化

Lineage: n. direct descent from an ancestor 血统, 家系

Abstraction: n. t he process of formulating generalized ideas or concepts 抽象化
