arête:n. excellence卓越

scope: n. the area covered by an activity, topic, etc.; range 范围

striking: adj. having a quality that thrusts itself into attention 显著的,突出的

Achilles: n. Greek hero, the son of Peleus and the sea goddess Thetis阿基里斯

value: v. regard highly; think much of 重视

Agamemnon: n. a king of Mycenae 阿伽门农(特洛伊战争中希腊军队的统帅)

Cronus: n. a Titan, son of Uranus (sky) and Gaea (earth) 克洛诺斯

deception: n. the act of deceiving or the state of being deceived 欺骗,欺诈

Atreus: n. a king of Mycenae, son of Pelops 阿特柔斯

capture: v. to win control or possession of 俘获,夺得
