C2C business model by Suning to Enter the intermediary market of Second-hand Housing
When Ke.com of Lianjia and intermediary alliance of 58.com competed with each other, retail giant Suning entered the intermediary market of second-hand housing.
On July 27, 2018, Hou Enlong, President of Suning.com, announced that Fang Suning would be presented in Nanjing for the first time. As a transaction platform for second-hand housing without intermediaries, it only charges 9,999 yuan per suite for transaction service, which breaks Lianjia, 5i5j.com and other traditional intermediary companies to charge commissions in proportion.
Official information indicates that Fang Suning adopts an innovative business model of C2C (Consumer To Consumer) and integrates Suning's advantages in data, services, finance, small shops and banks, which can help house hunters to avoid "invisible pits" and "hidden rules."
It is reported that Fang Suning realizes the openness and transparency of housing information and the visualization of the purchase process based on big data. On the Internet, buyers and sellers can communicate freely. In reality, Suning Small Shops can provide users with services such as consultation, reception and release and viewing of housing. Moreover, the offline contract-signing center also is equipped with professional team to provide services in the whole process of the signing of contract, loan, transfer of names, house delivery, etc.
Hou Enlong expressed that, relying on the huge offline channels of Suning Small Shops, Fang Suning can not only save the cost of opening stores, but also effectively use the high-frequency passenger flow of Suning Small Shops to impact the low-frequency passenger flow of traditional intermediary stores.
The low commission model isn’t initiated by Suning. Previously, several Internet intermediaries such as iwjw.com and sofang.com entered the intermediary industry with low commissions of 0.5% to 1%. In the end, they failed to break the monopoly of traditional intermediary companies.
