Due to the complex shape and many machining surfaces, the automobile knuckle is suitable for machining design training, which can effectively support the mechanical undergraduates to understand knowledge of mechanical manufacturing technology.
Students are required to design more than two processes in mechanical processing design.This part corresponds to points of machining technology, metal cutting principle and fixture design in the“Fundamentals of mechanical manufacturing technology“course.
Students are required to understand the influence of different parameters, equipment and fixtures on economy and meet quality requirements. Students use simulation tools to obtain processing efficiency and cost of different plans, analyze and optimize the designed plans, and carry out optimization design work. This part corresponds to points of influence of machining process on efficiency and cost in the course mentioned above.
