Hello everyone.

Welcome to the lecture

In this class we are going to learn Part 5 of Unit 8

如果想表达“我喜欢你”

你会怎么说呢

如果用汉语

我相信大家一定可以说出

许多种兼具意境与美感的句子

北宋词人柳永说

衣带渐宽终不悔为伊消得人憔悴

诗仙李白说相看两不厌只有敬亭山

但是用英语呢

是不是只能说出单调直白的

I love or I like you

然后就是爱你在心口难开了

在这节课里我们要学习

更加丰富多彩的英语表达

让我们的语言也生动起来

In fact likes and dislikes can be expressed

by a variety of words and expressions

which can be grouped into four major types

we can show our opinions by using

For example like and love express favor of sth

while hate and can’t stand indicate disfavor

For example a fan is a person

who really likes something or admires somebody

Today we have many fans right

Words like fond of or keen on indicate likes

For example the word into

can mean enthusiastic about or interested in sth

Now please look at these three books

Have you ever read them

Do you like them

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

a detective novel by Swedish author Stieg Larsson in 2005

which is a best-seller in Europe and the United States

Life of Pi

a fantasy adventure novel by Canadian author Yann Martel

and published in 2001

It was adapted into a film directed by李安

Pride and Prejudice: a novel of manners by Jane Austen

first published in 1813

It has become one of the most popular novels in English literature

From the conversation we have learned that

we can express our likes and dislikes in many ways

Now it’s time to show your conversations

除了I like(love)/ don’t like (love)…这样的表达方法外

来让我们的表达更多样化语言更富有感染力
