Tips for Academic Writing

To fulfil the expectations of academic readers.
It is important to follow the specific genre requirements in academic writing. This is a defining feature of academic writing.
Term papers and research reports are generally formal.
How to achieve formality?
Advanced and academic vocabulary
Long and complex sentences
The minimized use of 1st - and 2nd –person pronouns
The use of advanced and academic vocabulary
Avoid using simple and colloquial words

It would be better to use a single verb instead of a phrasal verb.

Tip: Use third-person and passive voice.
