今天我们讲解字符指针作函数参数。

字符指针可以作函数实参或形参

如果想把一个字符串从一个函数

“传递”到另一个函数,可以用地址传递的办法

即用字符数组名作参数,也可以用字符指针变量作参数

在被调用的函数中可以改变字符串的内容

在主调函数中可以引用改变后的字符串

下面来看例8.20 用函数调用实现字符串的复制

解题思路:定义一个函数copy_string用来

实现字符串复制的功能,在主函数中调用此函数

函数的形参和实参可以分别用

字符数组名或字符指针变量

分别编程,以供分析比较

(1) 用字符数组名作为函数参数

{ void copy_string(char from[],char to[]);声明函数

char a[]="I am a teacher.";定义a字符数组

定义b字符数组

输出ab字符串

copy_string(a,b);调用函数用字符数组名a,b作为函数实参

用%s输出a,b的字符串

copy_string函数定义如下:

void copy_string(char from[], char to[])形参为字符数组

{ int i=0;

while(from[i]!='\0')

{ to[i]=from[i];把from[i]的值赋给to[i]

i++;}

最后to[i]='\0';

即,当复制完全部有效字符后加字符串结束标志’\0’}

程序运行结果如图所示

(2)用字符型指针变量作实参

copy_string不变

在main函数中定义字符指针变量from和to

分别指向两个字符数组a,b

仅需要修改主函数代码

程序如下:

首先声明函数

定义字符数组a并初始化

定义字符数组b并初始化

char *from=a,*to=b;

from指向a数组首元素,to指向b数组首元素

输出a,b字符串

copy_string(from,to)调用函数实参为字符指针变量

输出ab字符串

(3)用字符指针变量作形参和实参

程序如下

对copy_string进行声明

char *a=“I am a teacher.”; a是char *型指针变量

定义b字符数组并初始化

char *p=b;使指针变量p指向b数组首元素

输出a串和b串

copy_string(a,p);

调用函数

实参为指针变量

输出改变后的a串和b串

copy_string函数的形参为字符指针变量,定义如下:

void copy_string(char *from, char *to)

{ for( ;*from!='\0'; from++,to++)

{ *to=*from; }

最后*to='\0';}

用字符指针变量和字符数组都能

实现字符串的存储和运算

但二者是有区别的,下面进行一个比较

(1) 字符数组由若干个元素组成

每个元素中放一个字符

而字符指针变量中存放的是地址

(字符串第1个字符的地址)

决不是将字符串放到字符指针变量中。

(2) 赋值方式。可以对字符指针变量赋值

但不能对数组名赋值

例如char *a; a=”I love China!”; 正确

char str[14]; str[0]=’I’; 正确

char str[14]; str=”I love China!”; 错误

(3)初始化的含义

char *a=”I love China!”; 与

char *a; a=”I love China!”; 等价

char str[14]= ”I love China!”;

不等价于

char str[14];

str[]=”I love China!”;

这是企图把字符串赋给数组中各元素,是错误

(4) 存储单元的内容

编译时为字符数组分配若干存储单元

以存放各元素的值,而对字符指针变量

只分配一个存储单元(VC++为指针变量分配4个字节)

如果定义了字符指针变量

应当及时把一个字符变量(或字符数组元素)

的地址赋给它,使它指向一个字符型数据

如果未对它赋地址值,它并未指向一个确定的对象

此时如果向该指针变量所指向的对象输入数据

可能会出现严重的后果

例如char *a; scanf(“%s”,a); 指针变量无指向,错误

以下代码正确

(5) 指针变量的值是可以改变的

而数组名代表一个固定的值(数组首元素的地址)

不能改变

下面来看例8.21 改变指针变量的值。

下面来看{ char *a="I love China!";

不能改为char a[]=“I love China!”;

a=a+7;

输出a的字符串

(6) 字符数组中各元素的值是可以改变的

但字符指针变量指向的字符串常量中

的内容是不可以被取代的。

char a[]=”House”,*b=” House”;

则a[2]=’r’; 正确

b[2]=’r’; 错

(7) 引用数组元数

对字符数组可以用下标法和地址法

引用数组元素如(a[5],*(a+5))

如果字符指针变量p=a

则也可以用指针变量带下标的形式和地址法

引用数组元素如(p[5],*(p+5))。

例如char *a=″I love China!″;

则a[5]的值是第6个字符,即字母’e’

(8) 用指针变量指向一个格式字符串

可以用它代替printf函数中的格式字符串

例如char *format;

format=”a=%d,b=%f ”;

printf(format,a,b);

相当于

printf(“a=%d,b=%f ”,a,b);
