再有一个很重要的建筑类型

就是秦汉时期的宫室

刚才我们已经提到了秦朝的一些宫室的情况

秦灭了当时其它的六国之后

就把六国的宫殿照样在咸阳建一组

文献当中也记载：

“秦每破诸侯，写放其宫室，作之咸阳北阪上。”

就在咸阳的北山上

把宫殿复制一组，座在这儿

另外它建了自己的很大的一组宫殿，叫阿房宫

这个阿房宫《三辅黄图》上记载

“规恢三百余里，离宫别馆，

弥山跨谷，辇道相属，阁道通骊山八十余里。”

规模不得了

今天我们能发现的东西

是阿房宫的前殿

也就是它最主要的大殿的遗址

这个遗址有多大呢？

东西长1300米，南北宽500米

高出地面10米

整个夯土的大台

我们不知道，到底在上面建一所什么样的房子

建在这样的一个高台上

这叫前殿，前殿上是一座建筑？

——当然一座建筑尺度上不大可能

还是一组建筑？

一组建筑怎么排布呢？

在东西长1300米，南北宽500米的这样一个高台上

该是什么样的？不知道

这么大的宫殿

在宫殿的前面

因为灭了六国，怕六国的人再反抗

把它们所有的兵器都收了

熔化了以后铸成了12个金人----金属的人像

立于宫门之前

这么一个格局的东西

今天可以看到阿房宫前殿遗址的情况

根据考古发掘，有些先生提出证据

认为阿房宫当时实际上没有来得及建成

并不真的存在

只是一个正在建筑过程当中的东西

为什么？因为在秦始皇陵

在很多秦代的遗址当中发现了

楚汉时期项羽打进咸阳以后放火烧城

把这儿都烧了，有很多火烧的痕迹

但是在阿房宫没有发现火烧的痕迹

所以阿房宫到底是什么

可能永远是个谜

它还停留在秦始皇和秦代大臣们的脑海当中

还没有变成一个现实的东西

但是它的遗址今天仍然是非常惊人的

仅仅是这个夯土台

它的尺度就极其巨大

汉宫室的建筑也很有意思

汉代很特别，因为秦的时间很短

所以汉代还在想

和早期的周在体制之间能不能建立一种联系？

在刘邦刚刚建立汉的时候

他就开始建造宫殿

这个宫殿不是刘邦自己建的

刘邦还在打仗，他的大臣萧何就开始给他建宫殿

刘邦回来看了以后很不高兴

他说，为什么秦刚刚亡

你们就又盖这样豪华的建筑

这样的宫殿不都是秦朝灭亡的导火索吗？

为什么你们要建这样的东西

当时萧何回答说：

“天子以四海为家，非壮丽亡以重威。”

就是不盖一个这样的宫室

你怎么能体现你帝王的尊严呢？

而且你现在盖了

你的后代人就不用盖了，不用再花钱了

他这么来解释这个问题

刘邦是接受了这样的一个想法

后来他（刘邦）的大臣们按照来觐皇帝的礼节来崇拜他的时候

他自己说了一句

我今天才知道皇帝之贵

当时的宫殿

恐怕在很大程度上是作为一个国家统治象征来建造的

所以西汉初

未央宫、长乐宫和北宫这样的一组宫殿就建造起来

今天我们在这个区域出土了很多重要的文物

比如说那个非常著名的长信宫灯

非常讲究的一个宫廷当中使用的器具

铜鎏金的这样的东西

而且它的灯光可以调节

然后油烟可以自己吸纳到灯柱的腔内

也没有油烟出来

非常讲究的一个设计

这是未央宫前殿的遗址

今天仍然可以看见

它是在城的西南一个比较高的位置上

在城外还建了建章宫

根据文献记载

建章宫里面有阙

实际上是一个离宫

皇帝可以在里头行猎，在里头打猎

阙的形式在很多汉代的画像石、画像砖中都有反映

虽然真实的建筑建章宫是看不到了

另外西汉的礼制建筑，明堂这样的建筑

在城的南郊今天根据资料也可以做出一些复原
