The other thing that we did is we took something that exists in nature such as clay which is formless and weak and we transformed it into pottery by using fire. We were able to convert weak, formless clay into something that is useful such as pottery that we can use to store water, that we can use to cook. 불을 이용하여 우리가 했던 또 다른 일은, 지지력이 약하고 형체도 없이 자연에 존재하는 점토를 불을 이용해 도자기로 전환시킨 것입니다. 우리는 약하고 형체도 없던 점토를 도자기와 같이 유용한 것으로 전환시켜 물을 저장하거나, 음식을 요리할 때 사용할 수 있었습니다. 이와 같은 전환은 용기(容器)라는 개념을 이해해야만 창출 가능합니다. 물이나 음식물과 같은 산물들을 담아둘 수 있고, 열을 분산해 음식을 골고루 익힐 수 있게 되어 많은 음식들이 손상되지 않았습니다.
