现在让我们一起讨论看看如何用英语表达“目的”。

一般来说英语中有许多表达“目的”的方式,

如:使用to不定式

这些都可以表达:“我们(某人)为什么做某事”/“(作为结果)某人可以做或者不能做某事”

如:“我们在花园里建了一个泳池,孩子们可以在热天里游泳了。”

那么是否还有其他方式表达“目的”或者“一个行为导致其他行为的发生”呢?

答案是肯定的。

在第二段里有这么一句话:

在这里可以看到…designed to teach sb. about sth.

就是表达一件事情的“目的”。

在“designed”前面的一件事将会导致“to”后面事情的发生。

所以这里的主干结构是:

让我们来使用这个结构。

如当我们讨论“网购的重要性”时,我们可以说:

还可以“教”什么呢?还有其他的“目的”吗?

当然还可以“教”一些内容,如:

“网购时如何省时省力。”

“如何告别费力的搜索。”

“如何通过产品图片和网站介绍进行网购。”

“如何分清网店的信誉度。”

当讨论“理财”时,我们可以说:

“他们对18岁左右的孩子推销特别理财项目,

旨在教他们学会理财和存钱。”

当我们讨论“如何避免过度消费”/“如何控制购物欲”的时候,

我们可以说:“他们对16岁左右的女性推销特别消费项目,

旨在教育她们避免产生过度消费或购物狂行为。”

句型结构是综合写作技巧中的一个重要元素。

它甚至比词汇选择更为重要。

使用不当的词就像漏掉的节拍,而糟糕的句型则是全盘走调,

它会破坏文章的流畅性,使读者困惑不解、无法深入阅读。

句子是有逻辑关系的结构。

句子是最简单的学习文本。

能构建好句型的学生往往能写出最好的作文。

要想学会漂亮的句子,方法之一就是从好句子中借鉴好句型。

然而,要想提高句型写作能力,还需提高思维能力。

一个构造精美的句子不仅需要良好的读写能力,

更需提高思维的质量。

正如勒莫夫说过的那样:

“教学生书写复杂精巧、细致入微的句子,

就是在教他们提高复杂精巧、细致入微的思考能力。”

这节所学到的句型会帮助大家构建句子。

句型构建能迫使学生用一种细致具体的方式来思考文本。

接触更多类似这样的句型结构后,

学生们可以选择最为恰当的一种句型来精确地表述某个概念。

当然学习句型结构仅是学好写作的第一步,

要提高写作水平,还有一大堆的东西要学。
