他就是南非前总统纳尔逊曼德拉,
诺贝尔和平奖得主。
这些话选自他在1994年就职典礼上做的演讲。
当时他首次当选总统。
我们最深的恐惧不是我们的不足。
我们最深的恐惧是我们的力量无可估量。
令我们深恐的不是我们周边黑暗而是我们自身的光明。
我们问自己:“我是谁,哪可能既聪明漂亮又有才华还很出名?
” 事实上,你不是这样又是谁呢?你是上帝之子啊。
我们生来就要彰显与生俱来的上帝的荣耀。
这份荣耀不是只有部分人才有,它存在于我们每个人。
我们自己放射光芒时,我们也无意识地允许他人也发出他们的光芒。
正因为我们从自己的恐惧中解放出来,我们的出现才自然而然解放了其他人。
我们都知道曼德拉曾经受到迫害,他说的是基督教的核心精神。
实际上这也是基督教世界关于竞争的精神。
