we just had critique

那么下一个环节

我选择了几张斧劈的
I picked some works about “Fupi” technique

同学们的作品
some students works

然后这三张作品
in these three

是同学们普通存在的问题
there are couple of common issues during students practice

我做一下修改
I will point them out

通过调整以后
After adjustment

看看能不能同学们理解
Let’s see if you can understand

对用笔用墨和笔势关系
the relationship between ink and brush

理解得更深
and get better understanding of this art form

那么这张属于用笔不充分
Then this is the issue that lack of brush control

斧劈皴的笔形都不是很到位
the shape of “Cun” movement isn’t quiet enough

所以说这属于用笔问题
it belong to brush problem

这一张是属于
and this one belong to

用笔的墨色问题
the color or ink problem

虽然用的是淡墨
although it’s working with light ink

但是它的颜色没有
but the color

那个浓淡干湿发挥得不好
and the shade wasn’t well expressed

这张
this one

这一张是属于
it belongs to

用笔组织上比较分散
Distracted by brush organization

看不出个数来
can’t figure it out

基本上是缺少组织
lack of organization

我先来解决这个
I will solve this first.

斧劈的用笔的质量问题
The quality of the brush movement in “Fupi” technique

斧劈的用笔质量
the texture of trace in this type of brush movement

这个斧劈柴痕
should be like the mark that left by an axe on wood surface

要侧锋水墨淋漓大笔
it requires large amount of ink and water
and use the side of brush to move it

最好用熟宣
“Shu” xuan is more ideal paper

因为生宣
cause the “Sheng” xuan paper

它这个锋利的劲儿
is more sensitive

我们下笔就容易变成
while we move the brush, it’s more easily to get

很柔软的一个笔头
a soft front end

斧劈的这个用笔追求
the aesthetic pursuit of this technique

如果缺了它
if without it

这个斧劈的表现性
it will lost its expression

这个斧劈的特性就失去了
and the characteristics of this technique will be lost

所以说用笔很重要
So it’s important to learn how to operate a brush

比如说这些笔形比较肉
in here, the forms that made by your brush is kind of fat

那么要解决这个肉的东西
to resolve this problem

第一个是控笔能力
the first is to control your brush

我们下笔就得走
move right away when engage with paper

多长
how long

不能挑剔
doesn’t matter

得送到位
deliver the power all the way to the edge of form

然后短 小 再小
then short lines, small lines and even more

不管多小都得有笔形
No matter how small you draw, you have to
remain the shape come out of each movement

然后上下左右劈也要送到
and the power needs to move thoroughly

要劈出笔形来
shape the form

这个不要潦草
but don’t be scribble

我们这样的都不行
unlike this

这是挑剔这都是属于毛病
this is the wrong example

它不是这种用笔
not like this brush movement

这一个是用笔问题
here is the problem of brush using

那么这个墨
then the ink

我们每张笔墨的组织
the organization of each brush and ink

都要有墨的变化
There must be ink different

如果我们着意的
if we think about it

我们因为好像淡墨
it seems that the light ink

应该表现力比较好
Should be better in expression performance

通过托裱以后效果更好
And will get better finish after mounting another paper behind

但是我们缺少
But if it missed

浓淡干湿的层次的变化
Changes in the level of dryness and dampness

那么像这张就是比较中灰
Then it will be too grey just like this one

缺少重墨和再淡一点的墨
Lack of dark ink and light ink

所以说这个在墨上需要调整
So it needs more practice in ink mixing

这个斧劈皴可以重复皴
we can redo this “Fupi” technique for several times

调整墨色
in order to adjust ink

把它的浓淡干湿调整出来
until different shade comes out

这就是墨色
This is the ink color

要带来的表现效果
and the effect it comes out with

还是进入到这个斧劈皴的
when we move to

势态关系
the tendency relationship of “Fupi” technique

这个势态关系确实很重要
it’s really important

无论是在哪个环节上
no matter which section

披麻皴 牛毛皴 斧劈皴
“Pima”, “Niumao” or “Fupi” style

在笔墨组织上都是一个难题
it always meets a important topic which is brush organization

所以说这个画面比较松散
the image here is loose in construction

那么这个松散
the reason for loose

就缺少聚散开合
is because it lacks of gathering and opening

疏密长短主次的
folding and unfolding

这些关系的处理
it’s because the handling of these relationships isn’t quiet enough

所以说它显得松散
that’s why it looks loose

我们把稍微调整一下
let’s adjust it a little bit

我们这也改一下
also in here

这皴笔长短大小主次疏密
the organization of brush stroke

笔墨结构自身
and construction itself

它有一个审美的
it has brush-ink organization

组织的这么一个态势
in aesthetic way

这个势态
such a situation

虽然借用了山石的因素
Although it borrowed the factors of rock

但是它呈现的
But the shape it presented

这个笔墨自身的
Is the ink itself

审美的大小的形状
size of aesthetic form

浓淡干湿的变化
and changes in shades and wetness

主次的变化
changes in primary and secondary relationship

这是它的自身的审美要素
These are all its own aesthetic elements

斧劈就到这儿
