Case study task 2

Task 2: Work with your learning partners. You are members of UP’s board of directors. Hold a meeting(on-line or off-line) to discuss the three ethical dilemmas. Then write a short report to summarise the decisions and give reasons for each of them.

1.     Whether to invest a lot of money in a drug that will potentially cure a fatal disease but will not produce much profit for the company.

2.     Whether to make public the disappointing test results for recent series of the PX200 (heart problems) that some patients have experienced severe breathing difficulties and other unpleasant side effects.

3.     Whether to continue to test the new dieting product which could be extremely profitable on animals.
