对比与协调
Contrast and coordination

是组织画面最常用的手法
are the most common methods of painting

所谓对比
The so-called contrast

是相对因素产生冲突
is the conflict caused by relative factors

所谓协调
and the so-called coordination

是在矛盾的对立中
is to seek balance and unity

求得平衡统一
between contradiction and harmonious

大多数同学以为
most students think that

绘画只是把自己所看到的东西
drawing is just depicting

准确地画下来
exactly what they see

然而我们的绘画旨趣远非如此
but its purpose is far from that

好的绘画
Good painting

往往会触及一些抽象的问题
often touches on some abstract issues

诸如很多虚实
such as the relationship between void and solid

强弱
strength and weakness

刚柔
strong and soft

疏密
loose and dense

纵横等
vertical and horizontal

既对立又统一的关系
which are both opposite and unified

这是绘画活动的根本内容
this is the fundanmental content of painting

万物生命的跃动缘自于此
The vitality of all life is derived from this

宇宙本体的作用
and the role of the universe is

也以此为特征
also characterized by this

一般情况下
In general

画面的营造
the creation of the painting

是通过创造相对因素展开
is opened by relative factors

然后再以各种手段
and then using various means

使相对因素达到协调统一
to achieve the harmonization of relative factors

冲突能够创造变化
Conflict can create changes

相对因素的对比
and the contrast of relative factors

即是一种矛盾冲突
is a kind of contradiction

可以让人关注
which attracts attention

对比越强烈
The stronger the contrast

冲突越大
and the greater the conflict

也就越让人关注
the more attention it will bring

利用这一手段
Using this method

可以帮助我们
can help us

突出我们想要表达的东西
highlight what we want to express

同时它也能够使画面
and at the same time it can make painting

产生起伏的节奏
have more sense of rhythm

图111是纵横因素的冲突
Image 111 is the conflict of vertical and horizontal factors

图112是大小和动静冲突
in image 112 is the conflict of size and movement

图113是松紧的冲突
Image 113 is the tension conflict

图114是枯线与润墨的冲突
and image 114 is the conflict between dry stroke and the wet ink form

没有这些冲突就没有对比
Without these conflicts there would be no contrast

没有对比就会混沌一片
and without contrast there would be chaos

应该注意的是
It should be noted that

冲突要适度
the conflict should be moderate

不要让相对因素各自为政
and the relative factors should not be left alone

破坏画面的整体协调感
to undermine the overall sense of coordination in painting

作为完整的画面
As a complete piece

只有冲突而不能协调统一
only conflicts, without coordination

会造成矛盾双方
it will cause two sides of the contradiction

势均力敌
to be even

支离破碎的感觉
and fragmented

而没有矛盾冲突的画面
while the painting without contradictions

则会毫无生机
it will be lifeless

呈现静止状态
and stuck

中国画笔墨形式的表现
The performance of the Chinese brush and ink form

非常讲究笔势关系
is very particular about the gesture relationship

在各种皴法中
In various methods

笔笔相搭
the brush and the ink are combined

无一笔不讲势
There is no line or stroke without gesture relationship

因此用线常常在
so the line or stroke is often used to

长短
in the changes of length

粗细
thickness

曲直
straightness

干湿
wet and dry

浓淡
density and loose

纵横的变化中
cross

完成既对立
to complete the organization

又协调的组织
of contrast and coordination

这种笔势
This gesture

是画家在众多矛盾展开
is a reflection of the painter's control

和解决的过程中
in the process of unfolding and solving contradictions

进行适度把握的反映
with certain control

可以说相对因素
It can be said that the relative factor

在度的控制之下
is under the control

才能获得势的视觉张力的最大值
to obtain the maximum value of the potential visual tension

协调首先是一个整体的要求
At first, coordination needs to be considered as a whole

是生命体各个部分的有机联系
It is like the organic connection of all parts of the living body

这是画面组织的首要原则
This is the primary principle of painting organization

画面上每个要素
Every element on painting

都应该是相互依存
should be interdependent

统一协调的
and unified and coordinated

这种统一不是同一性
This kind of unity is not identity

而是有变化
but a harmonious unity

有对立的和谐统一
with changes

协调方法大体有以下四个方面
The coordination method generally has the following four aspects

一是形态之间的关系
First, the relationship between the forms

要有联系和照应
must be connected and referenced

所画物象如果各行其是
If the objects are drawn in their own way

画面则很难协调统一
the painting is difficult to coordinate

这些画面是通过
These paintings are harmonized through

方向上相同
the same direction and similar form

形态上相似获得协调统一的
in order to work with each other

二是表现手法的协调性
The second is the coordination of expression techniques

这是画法或者笔法
This is the overall sense

所带来的整体感
of painting or brushwork

黄公望的《富春山居图》
Huang Gongwang's "Painting of Fuchun Mountain"

用的是披麻皴法
uses the Pima Cun technique

王蒙的《青卞隐居图》
Wang Meng's "Qing Bian's Seclusion"

用的是牛毛皴法
uses the Niu Mao Cun technique

都有一种内在的协调感
which has an inherent sense of harmony

在画法的协调感上
In terms of the sense of harmony in painting

中国的古典绘画
Chinese classical painting

是这方面的典范
is a model in this territory

古人很少把不同的皴法
The ancient artists seldom

混用到一幅画面里去
mixed different cun technique into one painting

所以他们的画看上去非常协调
so their paintings looked very harmonious

三是要有体量的比例
The third is to have proportion

相对因素的对比
The relative factors

在画面上所占的份量要讲比重
on the painting should be arranged based on the proportion

如势均力敌
If they are evenly arranged on painting

两种因素将无法协调
the two factors will not be coordinated

图123中静态山岩厚重平静
The peaceful mountain in image 123 is thick and calm

与相对因素的几棵树产生对比
which contrasts with a few trees as relative factors

形成画面最突出的视觉效果
to form the most prominent visual effect of the painting

其协调方法是量的比例
The coordination method is to control the proportion of the amount

如果杂树的面积再多一点
If the area of the tree is larger

画面就很难协调
the elements in painting are difficult to be coordinated

图124两种对抗的
In image 124, the tension

视觉运动力
of two contrast elements

以向左下方的运动趋势为主
are mainly moving to the lower left

以向左上方的运动趋势为辅
along with movement trend to the upper left

在体量上有主次
and there are major and secondary in volume

这使画面既有矛盾也有协调
which makes the painting both contradictory and coordinated

这是相对因素
which is the method of proportional relationship

利用比例关系协调的方式
in coordinate with relative factors

也是主次关系上的协调方法
And it’s also method of coordinate primary and secondary relationships

由于主要的因素影响力
Since the main factors

形成主导趋势
influence the tension

因此看上去非常统一
it looks very unified

四是相对因素互相包容渗透
Fourth, the relative factors are mutually inclusive and infiltrating

这种协调方法

是在彼此间相互渗透
penetrates each other

你中有我 我中有你
one inside another

获得平衡与协调的

稳定

有机协调
and organic coordination

这是对张敛有度
This is after understanding of proportion

疏密有致
density

虚实相生
void and solid

刚柔并济
and complementarity between strong and soft

阴阳互补关系的把握
and complementarity between yin and yang

我们的艺术修养
Aesthetic taste

在这种适度的把握间
within such control
