Summary(강의 마무리)
Feeling hatred and vengeance similar to Won is first stage of Han, called Reactive phase. Individuals are forced to accept their fate and to maintain and to internalize their raw emotions. This is the second phase of Han. There is a third phase of called Transformation phase. Individuals now must accept their fate and accept their tragic situation. The fourth stage is the Reflective phase. Only but the person directly involved cannot rectify this situation and what he can do is release it through singing and dancing. This is called “Hanpulli” (release of Han). The last phase of Han is Transcendental phase. This process is called “Maeumbieunda,” to empty one’s mind to reach “Mosangham,” void or nothingness. There is a strong optimistic theme in the experience of Han. In the final phase of Han, individuals are able to transcend their suffering and reality.
