这个部分我们来谈谈段落中的连贯。

如果我们想让自己的观点与众不同或充满力量,

有时候我们会首先谈谈一些熟悉的事实或者一些被广未接受的观点,

正面的或者负面的都可以,然后再提出自己的观点,这样就会吸引读者。

课本中就有一个这样的例子。

也许你已经觉得自己阅读能力很好了,

毕竟你大部分时间都在阅读。

或者你可能对阅读感到不那么自在,

你更喜欢看电视而不是看书。

又或者你认为如果通过别人告诉你会得到更多的信息,

或者你觉得英语很难学。

不管你的水平技巧如何,总有技巧可以促进你的阅读能力发展,

让你能更好地处理高等教育中的各种科目。

这里,“或许……,或许没有(不)……,无论如何/不管怎样,……都……”

这就是该例句的分析。我们在给出自己的观点之前先做一些假设

首先,你说“或许(给出正面的信息)”,

例如或许你已经知道,或者或许你还不知道……,

或者你这么想,或者你那么看。不管怎样,……都……

因此,当你用“maybe”给出正面信息时,你可以用“after all”来引出一个例子;

当你用“maybe not”引出负面信息时,你也可以举个例,比如“你更喜欢”。

那么,句子结构是这样:先正面假设,再反面假设,

然后用“无论如何,不管怎样,仍然”否定前两者并给出自己的观点。

我再来举些例子。

或许这些展示还不够让你觉得无比惊喜,

或者你现在还没做度假计划。

你仍会发现新比尔网站对你考虑搬家也很有帮助。

再看一句:或许一个有格调装配好的射手并不符合你的行家扮相,

或者你只是不那么喜欢全程打斗的游戏。

不管怎样,如果我在谈论这个话题时不是手舞足蹈难掩兴奋之情,

我也不会愿意在这个名单中介绍这个装备。

那么怎么用这个语篇结构来谈论你的阅读体会呢?

这种表达在你强调你阅读的材料独一无二时很有力量,

在你认为自己的阅读材料跟大多数人已经读过的都有所不同的时候表达起来很有效。

例如,

或许你读过很多感人的浪漫爱情故事,

或者你认为浪漫的故事不会在现实生活中发生,

或者你认为浪漫爱情不能激励人们对社会的深刻反思。

不管怎样,我仍然坚持认为,莎翁笔下的罗密欧和朱丽叶是一个伟大的爱情故事,

描述了中世纪人们生活的生动画面,

引发了人们对爱恨情仇的深刻思考。
