一共有四个选择：

一个刚在海滩上做完沙堡的孩子和一个刚完成书稿最后一章的作家。

你认为谁是最快乐的人呢？

你认为快乐的人一定要有快乐基因吗？

快乐和快乐基因之间有什么关系呢？

快乐是遗传的吗？

基因可以解释所有的快乐和生活满足感吗？

为了回答这些问题，我们必须学习描述快乐与基因关系的相关表达，

即怎样表达A与B之间的关联。

现在，让我们来回答第一个问题。

快乐是遗传的吗？

仅仅一个基因就可以负责人类所有的快乐难道不是件好事吗？

不幸的是，正如你所料，事实并非那么简单。

但这的确让你想了解真相：如果我们能找到一个大的群体，他们都非常快乐，

那么他们是不是有可能拥有其他人没有的独一无二的基因呢？

快乐是遗传的吗？

人们有没有发现与快乐相关的基因呢？

如果有，谁的身上会有这样的基因呢？

快乐是遗传的观点引发了多个角度的批判性思考，

从心理学上的理解到科学研究再到哲学概念。

现在我们已经了解的内容如下：

1. 5羟色胺转运体多态区基因是与快乐和生活满足感关联十分密切的基因。

2. 确切地说，正是这种长基因决定了与日俱增的快乐。

3. 一个人含有的5-HTTLPR长基因越多，这个人就可能更快乐。

那么，基因能解释我们所有的快乐和生活满足感吗？

加利福尼亚大学的一位心理学教授写了一本书叫做《快乐的途径》，

作者在书中指出长期的快乐大体上有三个主要原因：

遗传学、环境和有意活动。

他们确信的是遗传学并不完全控制你的快乐。

研究结果表明影响程度在33%到最大50%之间变化。

根据我的介绍，让我们来总结表达快乐和基因关联的方法。

如果我们把“基因”一词放在句首，

“be responsible for/correlate with/be associated with/code for”等短语可以连接“基因”与“幸福”，前者表原因，后者表结果。

我们还可以使用比较级来描述快乐与5-HTTLPR长基因数量的关联。

这一关联的另一个事实是遗传学并不完全控制你的快乐。

另外，如果把“快乐”放句首，我们可以这样描述它与“基因”的关联：快乐是遗传的或快乐归因于遗传学。
