Trouble in Modern Times

第七单元的主题是现代社会的麻烦

大家可能会想

如今物质这么丰富

科技这么发达

许多在过去看起来是trouble的事

现在 as easy as ABC

唐代诗人李白曾说

人攀明月不可得

而如今人类早已经登上了月球

过去的千里迢迢现在已变成天涯咫尺

还有什么麻烦事呢

随着我们的学习

请大家自己去发掘去体会

本单元我们的学习目标是

谈论生活中害怕的事

利用信息问题来理解故事

学习怎么报告一起事故

权衡危急时刻的选择

发表毕业演讲

When discussing trouble in modern times

we have to talk about crimes

Crimes are always big troubles in human society

Don’t you think so

Now let’s do some exercises

and get to know the crimes in English

OK let’s check answers

如果这些罪行中的任何一个发生在你的面前

你会害怕吗

我想肯定会的

因为那些都是违法并且很危险的事情

What else are you afraid of Ghost

Or your father

Let’s watch a podcast and see

what kind of things the people

in the podcast are afraid of

So what do they mainly talk about

Right the people in the podcast just try to

respond to the questions from the anchor Pasha

At the beginning he shows his minor fears and phobias

Then a question

Do you have any fears or phobias

phobia means very strong or extreme fear

There are different type of phobias

such as claustrophobia 幽闭恐惧症

and acrophobia 恐高症

Then he raises another question

How do your fears or phobias interfere with your life

Finally he poses the question

what fear or phobia would be

the most troublesome in the modern world
