人们对于新闻播音员的看法

那么人们是如何描述新闻播音员的呢

Some people think most of the newscasters

look very serious

Look at some photos

Since news on TV is often related to

serious topics like politics and society

it is natural for the broadcasters

to be formal and serious

However for some young people who

get most of their news by surfing the Internet

they think the newscasters now

are becoming less serious than before

They sometimes use slang expressions

Look at these pictures

Normally the broadcasters and reporters

pay great attention to doing their jobs right

but sometimes they have a slip of the tongue

or encounter a technical problem

Next we are going to watch a video clip

to see mistakes the newsreaders make

Before watching let's learn some new words

Now please look at the newscasters

and read their blunders

Then watch the video clip

and match the people to the blunders

Some blunders are committed by

more than one speaker

Ok my dear students

Wow what embarrassing mistakes the newsreaders make

But anyway it goes to show just how much

the public love a good news blunder
