Grading Overview课程教案、知识点、字幕

An important part of this module is the assignment

that everybody is asked to do to see whether they

can use the ideas covered in the many lectures

and in the readings.

And each assignment, while it's only several pages,

is meant to be an opportunity for you to get feedback,

to get comments from other people enrolled in the class.

And while I won't be able to give everybody

who takes this online class feedback,

everyone will receive feedback on every assignment they submit

from at least two people.

In order to make this work, I want to highlight three things.

We'll provide a list of the key points--

we call it a grading rubric--

that you as a reader of someone's assignment

should use in deciding whether someone gets three points, two

points, one points, or no point for each of three

or four key things that we're hoping you will discuss.

And then there's a space to give qualitative comments,

to write what you thought was presented effectively or less

effectively or what key points from the course--

since you're taking it, too--

the person whose assignment you read lets go by,

doesn't do enough with.

And finally, think about this as in light

of what we might call the golden rule of grading.

Give comments.

And give grades like what the grades and comments are you

would like to get from other people.

You will be grading others.

They will be grading you with these three, two, one, or zero

points for each of the key factors

that we hope are covered.

But in your qualitative comments, stress the positive.

What did people do well?

You can also say what they might have done better.

But the goal is to be constructive.
