二 盘瓠崇拜

盘瓠神话广泛流传于我国的

苗 瑶 畲等少数民族

盘瓠崇拜

是这些少数民族

具有共性的图腾崇拜和祖先崇拜

他们认为盘瓠是自己的始祖

早在1000多年以前

《后汉书·南蛮·西南夷传》

就详细地记载了盘瓠的传说

首先来看 瑶族的盘瓠崇拜

犬 盘瓠 被认为是瑶族的先祖

因此瑶族人是禁食狗肉的

瑶族人养狗是为了看家和狩猎

狗老了要让它自然地死去

人们还在衣着 饮食方面要模仿狗的样子

传说“盘王”也就是盘瓠

它是一只“五彩斑斓”的狗

因此 瑶族至今还保留

“好五色衣服” “衣着斑斓”的习俗

这是瑶族妇女的服饰

这位老奶奶年纪很大了

还穿得如此的色彩斑斓

瑶族他们至今保留着“好五色衣服”

“色彩斑斓”的习俗

“五色”就是他们当年的祖先盘瓠

那条五彩狗身上毛发的颜色

这是瑶族妇女的一种头饰

叫做“狗头冠”

我们来看 两耳下垂 以像狗耳

有的地方还刻意把男人的衣服

做得前面短后面长

把女人的头发 要梳成狗耳状

在腰上臀部下面要吊一截腰带以像狗的尾巴

以象征图腾形象

年节祭祖时 要先喂狗

有的地方还模仿狗的动作

祭祀主祭者手足并用 从供桌下面爬过去

吃一两口饭 然后全家人才能进食

这是广西瑶族的“师公”的服装

这个服装的背后就绣有“盘王图”

就是他们的先祖

再来看 苗族的盘瓠崇拜

犬图腾的遗迹

也表现在一些苗族的服饰和织绣上

这是凯里苗族的剪纸花样

《龙狗和六男六女》

它与《后汉书》中记载的高辛氏之女

与盘瓠结婚后

生下一十二人 六男六女的传说

是完全一样的

这也是贵州凯里的

苗族的剪纸花样《蜈蚣变狗》

这是盘瓠传说的一则生动的“异文”

它不一样

它描述了一位老妇人因耳朵痒痒

她就掏耳朵 就掏出一条蜈蚣虫

这个老奶奶把蜈蚣虫盖在碗里

过几天她去看蜈蚣死了没有

她把碗一打开 就跳出了一条狗

这就是另一种盘瓠传说
