1.Hailong’s giving birth method
Hailong's process of "giving birth" is also completed by "father". There is also a nursery bag at the junction of the tail and abdomen of the father Hailong. When mating,the mother Hailong lays the eggs in the "nursery bag",in which the eggs are fertilized and hatched. After about ten to twenty days,the baby Hailong is hatched.
2.Hailong’s species
According to the Pharmacopoeia of the 2015 edition, the source of Hailong is from the whole body with membrane and viscera removed of Diaohailong, Nihailong, Jianhailong, family Syngnathidae.
Diaohailong has an obtuse angle presents between the head and body axis and the trunk is pentagonal. Nihailong has a long and flat body and its body width is larger than the height and its head is in line with body axis. Jianhailong’s body is long and thin as a whip, and its body height is nearly equal to its body width.
