Tianma can not only calm internal wind but also dispel external wind, which is an effective treatment to tetanus.

Tianma can be used to treat all kinds of wind diseases just because its neutral nature is fit for all kinds of heat and cold wind diseases as well as its remarkable wind-stablization property.

Moreover, Tianma has efficacies of expelling wind and dredging collaterals and relieving pain, treating wind-damp arthralgia along with wind-damp dispelling medicine.

Tianma is a natural antioxidant, whereas oxidation is one of the major causes of aging process, which means that Tianma is effective in anti-aging.

3. Tianma's applications

The major ingredient in Tianma is gastrodin, which is easily volatilized when heated.

So Tianma should not be over-decocted. The best ways to use is to grind it into fine powder, or infuse it with decoction.
