The order of details should be logical

should be efficient to eliminate repetition

stand out from the rest

Consistent flow of ideas
Keep a consistent verb tense
Use connective words
phrases (prepositional or infinitive phrase)
clauses to indicate relationships
Repeat key terms
exactly and early in the sentence
Put old information
before new to avoid sudden shift
of sentence topics

Consistent point of view
The point of view should be that of third person
The writer and reader should not become
part of the text through first-person
or second-person pronouns like I or you
It is acceptable to use we
as the subject of sentences describing methods
