Management enlightenment of Scholar Buying Firewood

A scholar went to buy firewood. He said to the seller, 'Thou, come here.' The seller didn't understand the word 'thou', but 'come here'. So he carried the firewood to the scholar. The scholar asked again about the price in ancient style. But the seller still couldn't get the whole meaning except the word 'price'. So he told the scholar the price. The scholar continued, by using literary words, meaning that 'Your wood is dry outside and wet inside. If burnt, there will be much smoke yet little flame. Please cut the price.' He was actually trying to bargain by illustrating the quality but in a very jerky style. The seller missed the meaning once again and just left, thinking that the scholar didn't want to buy at all.

Question: What management enlightenment can you obtain from this case?
