hi, I am Mushtak and welcome to the pronunciation training workshop
today we’ll take a look at the technical terms and concept from Unit 7
Communication in IT Industry.
Let’s start with IT technical terms from concept reading article for this unit.
First, I will read and you listen carefully.
In this workshop, we continue to practice the linking of certain sounds between two words.
For example, the ending sound in the word level /l/
and the beginning sound in the word of /ə/
would be linked together. So, we read levelˇof authority.
One more example is the linking of the ending sound in the word bug /g/
and the sound in the word in /i/.
So, we read them as bugˇin, not bug in.
Now, I will read them again.
Please repeat after me and pay attention to the linking of two words.

Now, let’s look at the IT terms from case learning part of unit 7.
First listen:
Here, I’d like to remind you to read chunk of text
rather than each word by word indivudially.
For example, we would read the subject line as a chunk of text
and in an email as another chunk of text.
So, we would read the whole thing like so
the subject line in an email.
One more example is important tasks as a chunk or text
and on sticky notes as another chunk of text.
So, we say post important tasks on sticky notes.
We say status of tasks and progress of the project.

Nowadays, email is the most common nonverbal communication approach for business.
let’s look at a sentence about email and its subject line.
Please pay attention to the way I stress and pause for a clearer pronunciation.
