hi, I am Mush and welcome to the pronunciation training workshop.
OK. The first thing you need to understand about pronunciation
is that there is no such thing as standard English pronunciation
it all depends on where you come from.
If, let’s say, you come from New York
then you'd most likely speak American English with a New York accent
and if you were from the UK, like myself, then most likely you'd speak British English
with the particular accent from the area where you grew up.
What’s important, is that your pronunciation must be clear so that other people can understand you easily.
Let’s start by listening to some technical terms and sentences from unit 1, overview of the IT industry.
Here are some technical terms mentioned in the concept reading part of unit 1.
first, I will read them for you, and I want you to just listen carefully.
Pay attention to the pronunciation of the word, data, or data, anyway, it is not date.
