这次课我们学习固相反应动力学方程
上次课我们已经了解固相反应的机理有所不同
对于不同的固相反应
或者同一反应的不同阶段
其动力学关系也往往不同
首先我们来看固相反应的一般动力学关系
固相反应通常是由
几个简单的物理化学过程构成的
这些步骤包括化学反应
扩散 结晶 熔融 升华等
其中速度最慢的那个环节
将对固相反应整体速度有着决定性的影响
那么固相反应整体速率和各个步骤分速率之间
有没有具体的定量关系呢
我们以金属氧化为例
建立整体反应速度与各阶段反应速度间的定量关系
有一块界面积为1的金属块
与氧气发生固相反应生成MO
氧气的起始浓度为C0
接触界面处氧气浓度为C
产物层MO厚度为
氧气在产物层中发生的是稳定扩散
根据化学反应动力学一般原理
和扩散第一定律
金属氧化速度VR=KC
氧气扩散速度VD等于
扩散系数乘以浓度梯度
VR最大速率等于KC0
VD最大速率等于DC0/δ
当整个反应过程达到稳定时
整体反应速率V=VR=VD
过推导得出
1/V=1/KC0+1/DC0/δ
其整体反应速度的倒数
为扩散最大速率倒数和化学反应最大速率倒数之和
若将反应速率的倒数看成反应的阻力
那么这个式子就是与串联电路欧姆定律所类同
也就是说
固相反应的总阻力等于各环节分阻力之和
通过这个式子
我们可以看出
如果扩散速率远远大于化学反应速率
反应阻力主要来源于化学反应
固相反应就属化学反应动力学范围
反过来
如果化学反应速率远远大于扩散速率
反应阻力主要来源于扩散
属扩散动力学范围
接下来我们讨论两种不同机理时的动力学关系
首先
我们看属于化学反应动力学范围时的固相反应
化学反应是固相反应过程的基本环节
对于均相二元反应系统
如果A和B之间发生化学反应
则化学反应速率的一般表达式
K为反应速率常数
然而
对于非均相的固相反应
浓度已经不适
不能用刚才讲的浓度随时间的变化规律
来描述化学反应动力学关系
对于大多数固相反应
固相反应物间的机械接触是基本条件
即在界面上进行反应与接触面F有关
浓度概念在此失去意义
那么在固相反应中
将引入转化率G的概念
转化率就是参与反应的一种反应物
在反应过程中被反应了的体积分数
如果反应物颗粒呈球状
半径为R0
经t时间反应后
反应物颗粒外层x厚度已被反应
大家可以看出转化率G
就是大球减去小球体积
再比上大球体积
固相反应动力学一般方程式可写成
n为反应级数
K为反应速率常数
F为反应界面
可以看出这个式子
与刚讲过的均相反应关系式具有完全类似的形式和含义
均相反应式中
浓度C既反映了反应物的多寡
又反映了反应物之中接触或碰撞的几率
而反应界面F和剩余转化率(1-G)
也反应了这两个因素
F 为反应界面面积
等于每个颗粒的表面积F’
乘以单位质量系统中的颗粒总数N
F’=4π(R0-x)2
带入转化率G
变形然后取单位质量系统
设其密度为γ
则可以计算出单位质量系统内总颗粒数
将刚计算出的F值带入前面的动力学表达式
然后考虑零级反应或者一级反应
通过积分
就可得出转化率G和时间t之间的动力学方程式
下面我们学习固相反应的重点内容
扩散动力学范围内的动力学表达式
固相反应概述中
我们说过固相反应一般都伴随着物质的迁移
但是固相中的扩散速度通常较为缓慢
所以多数情况下
是扩散速度控制整个固相反应的速度
根据反应界面的变化情况
我们学习两个反应动力学方程式
就是基于平板模型和球体模型所导出的
杨德尔方程和金斯特林格方程
首先我们看杨德尔方程
左图中
反应物A和B以平板模型相互接触反应和扩散
产物为AB
产物层厚度为x
A质点通过AB层
扩散到B-AB界面与B接触后继续反应
因为化学反应速度远大于扩散速率
在反应过程中的任一时刻
反应界面处A物质浓度为0
而界面A-AB处A物质起始浓度为C0
经dt时间通过AB层单位界面的A物质量为dm
由扩散第一定律得
设反应产物AB密度为ρ
分子量为μ
则可以得出
这里分子上省略了界面1
扩散属稳定扩散
因此浓度梯度为
通过这三个式子
我们可以推导出
x2=kt
也就是以平板模式接触时
反应产物层厚度x与时间t的平方根成正比
由于这个式子存在二次方关系
因此常被称做抛物线速度方程
而通常以粉状物料为原料
为此推导杨德尔方程时
我们作了下列假设
(1) 反应物是半径为R0的等径球粒
(2)反应物A是扩散相
A成分包围B颗粒表面
且AB和产物完全接触
反应自表面向中心进行
(3) A在产物层浓度梯度呈线性
而且扩散界面一定
那么第三个假设大家肯定会意识到
杨德尔方程应用应该有局限性
我们把这个问题放在最后
将转化率变形
得出产物层厚度x和转化率G的关系
带入抛物线速率方程
接下来就可以推导得出杨德尔方程
从杨德尔方程可以看出
FJ(G)和T呈直线关系
通过斜率可以求出反应速率常数KJ
扩散系数越大
颗粒粒度越小时
KJ越大
还有一个重要信息
就是因为杨德尔方程推导时认为扩散界面不变
所以该方程存在局限性
只能适合x比R0很小的时候
也就是反应初期
转化率小于0.3的时候
转化率大时就不再适用
FJ(G)和T呈直线关系
通过斜率可以求出反应速率常数KJ
杨德尔方程在反应初期的正确性
在许多固相反应的实例中都得到了证实
我们看这两个图

杨德尔方程仅适合于转化率较小的条件下
那么转化率较大时
我们就要采用金斯特林格方程
金斯特林格考虑了
在反应过程中
反应界面随反应进程变化这一事实
认为实际反应开始以后
生成产物层是一个球壳而不是一个平面
首先推导出产物层中聚集的A的量
再推导出单位时间内通过4 r2球面扩散入产物层AB中A的量
通过上两式推导出金斯特林格方程
也得出了转化率与时间的关系
下面我们对此方程进行讨论
左图是NaCO3与SiO2在820 C下的固相反应
测定了反应时间
与二氧化硅转化率G的实验数据
根据金斯特林格方程
拟合试验结果
在转化率从0.246变到0.616区间内
Fk(G)关于t有相当好的线性关系
可以算出速率常数KK恒等于1.83
但如果用杨德尔方程处理实验结果
Fk(G)与时间T的线性很差
KK值从1.81偏离到2.25
说明金斯特林格方程能够描述转化率很大情况下的固相反应
而杨德尔方程只能在转化率较小时才适用
金斯特林格方程并非对所有扩散控制的固相反应都能适用
从我们的推导
可以看出杨德尔方程
和金斯特林格方程均以稳定扩散为基本假设
它们之间所不同的仅在于几何模型的差别
此外金斯特林格动力学方程中
没有考虑反应物与生成物密度不同所带来的体积效应
为此卡特对金特林格方程进行了修正
得到了卡特动力学方程
这个我们就不再详述了
