这节课我们来学习固相中的扩散
那首先来看各种晶格类型原子的扩散
包括金属晶体
离子晶体及共价晶体中的扩散
那么先来看金属晶体中的体积扩散
实验证明对于大多数金属晶体

它的扩散都采用的是空位机制
尤其是本征扩散占主导作用
因此说它的扩散激活能由两部分组成
包括空位形成能
和质点迁移能
那么对于不同的金属而言
熔点越高
说明金属之间结合键的强度越大
那么它的质点扩散激活能就越大
扩散就越不容易发生
扩散系数越小
但是相对正常格点原子
当间隙原子小到一定程度时
当间隙原子小到一定程度时
或者晶格结构比较开放的时候
也会发生间隙扩散
比如说碳氮氧等半径非常小的原子在多数金属中的扩散

都是间隙扩散

常见炼钢过程中
就发生了C在Fe中的间隙扩散
它的特点是间隙多
扩散速率比较快

而且活化能只与质点迁移能有关
离子晶体的扩散
可能会涉及到两种机制

对于大部分的离子晶体而言
也都是按照空位机制来扩散的
但是对于少数开放型晶体来说
比如氟化钙,氧化铕
容易发生间隙扩散
氟化钙是一种典型的工业味精
氟化钙是一种典型的工业味精
在玻璃中可以降低熔点
降低烧结温度
还可以起到澄清剂的作用
以CaCl2杂质掺杂进KCl中为例
我们来分析一下K+离子的扩散
K+的扩散都要在K+空位里进行
对于离子晶体KCl来说
K+空位来源于两个方面
一个是KCl本身会由于温度的升高产生肖特基缺陷
形成K+空位
这时发生的是本征扩散;
另一方面
CaCl2掺杂进KCl中发生不等价置换
也会形成K+空位
也会形成K+空位
在这些K+空位中的扩散是非本征扩散
因此可以看出离子晶体中
影响扩散的缺陷来自两个方面:
本征点缺陷和掺杂点缺陷
本征点缺陷形成的能量高
只有在较高温度下才足以引起明显的扩散
而对于掺杂点缺陷
在较低温度形成
少量杂质能大大加速扩散
那么以由LnD为纵坐标
1/T为横坐标
1/T为横坐标
就可以做出K+的扩散曲线
如图所示

直线1是在高温段
此时热缺陷占优势
斜率是-(ΔHm+ΔHf/2)/R
扩散激活能由两部分组成
斜率较大;

可忽略本征扩散

因此属于非本征扩散
在同样的坐标中作图
直线的斜率减小变为-ΔHm/R
大部分离子晶体的扩散都由两部分组成
低温下发生非本征扩散
当温度升高至转折温度以上时
就会发生本征扩散
所以这里有两类计算题
一类是已知掺杂量
求转折温度
另一类是已知转折温度
求最大掺杂量是多少
解题的方法都是
让拐点处的热缺陷浓度
让拐点处的热缺陷浓度
equal to the concentration of impurity defect,
和杂质缺陷浓度相等
然后再根据要求求解
分析一下当杂质含量增大时
发生非本征扩散向本征扩散的转折点向哪方移动
杂质含量增大
就证明杂质空位浓度增大
那么只能继续升高温度
才能让拐点处的热缺陷浓度
和杂质缺陷浓度相等
也就是发生非本征扩散向本征扩散的转折点
向高温移动
向高温移动
我们再来看一下共价晶体中的扩散
我们知道共价晶体属于开放型晶体
比金属离子晶体空隙都要大
按理说应该发生间隙扩散
但是事实上在这类晶体里发生的扩散
仍然是以空位扩散为主
这是因为共价键
的特点是具有方向性和饱和性
发生间隙扩散不利于成键
不利于能量降低
例如金刚石晶体的间隙位置尺寸
与其原子尺寸差不多
但还是按照空位机制进行扩散
由于共价键的方向性和饱和性
共价晶体自扩散的活化能
远远大于熔点相近的金属晶体活化能
所以扩散系数大大下降
不容易扩散
例如
对于熔点相近的银和锗
银是金属晶体
扩散活化能很小;
而共价晶体锗的扩散活化能就要大得多
说明共价键的方向性和饱和性
对空位的迁移影响非常大
我们最后再来看一下非化学计量化合物中的扩散
由于气氛或者氧分压的改变
会在非化学计量化合物中形成相应的空位
因而使得扩散系数
因而使得扩散系数
明显依赖于环境气氛
我们主要来看两种非化学计量化合物
阴离子空位型和阳离子空位型
对于阳离子空位型氧化物
我们以氧化亚铁为例
Fe属于变价元素
受气氛或氧分压的影响
一部分的二价铁离子变成了三价铁离子
下面是它的缺陷反应方程
那么我们根据缺陷反应方程的平衡常数
然后推导出来

亚铁离子的空位浓度和氧分压的1/6次方是成正比的
而且扩散系数的表达式显示
亚铁离子的扩散系数D与其空位浓度成正比
那么最终得到扩散系数
是和氧分压的1/6次方成正比的

我们把这个式子变形
然后同样取对数坐标
在温度不变的条件下
以LnP为横坐标
LnD为纵坐标作图
做出直线的斜率就是1/6
可以看出随着氧分压的增大
铁离子的扩散系数是逐渐增大的
那么当氧分压不变的时候
我们在LnD~1/T坐标中作图
发现斜率为负值
这个值恰好处于非本征扩散和本征扩散的斜率之间
如果非化学计量化合物里的缺陷
是负离子空位型
是负离子空位型
我们以氧化锆为例
高温下氧分压的降低
会导致下面的缺陷反应

同样根据平衡常数
可以得到氧离子的空位浓度
可以得到氧离子的空位浓度
和氧分压的-1/6次方成正比
那么把它带到扩散系数的表达式中
最后得出扩散系数和氧分压的-1/6次方也是成正比的
我们来讨论一下
如果当温度不变的时候
以LnP为横坐标
为LnD为纵坐标作图
做出直线的斜率就是-1/6
可以看出随着氧分压的增大
氧离子的扩散系数是逐渐减小的
那么当氧分压不变的时候
我们在LnD~1/T坐标中作图
发现斜率仍然是
那我们可以得到结论
那我们可以得到结论
就是对于过渡金属非化学计量化合物来说
增加氧分压
有利于金属离子的扩散
有利于金属离子的扩散
而不利于氧离子的扩散
而不利于氧离子的扩散
那无论金属离子或者氧离子
它的扩散系数与温度的关系
在LnD~1/T坐标中呈线性
并且直线的斜率相同
在非化学计量氧化物中
如果同时考虑本征缺陷空位
杂质缺陷空位
杂质缺陷空位
以及非化学计量空位
其LnD~1/T图将含有两个转折点
如图所示
但是非化学计量化合物毕竟不太常见
我们一般讨论时还主要是以本征和非本征扩散为主
