我们一起来学习医学术语

Today we will deal with Unit 3 the body and body parts

We’ll get to the body and body parts because

we will find structural organization of the body

and abdominopelvic regions and quadrants,

divisions of the back

positional and directional terms

We can not finish all of them in the limited time

we’ll take the first part

the cells as an example

We come to the first

structural organization of the body

the cells tissues organs and systems

We deal with cells today

but today we’ll deal with it in

a little bit different way

We’ll take out the picture

You have these pictures in your major study.

你的专业学习当中呢这种图是非常多的

这个图旁边有英文的注释

They show the names

the structures

and some of the procedures

We’ll start from the picture

and the words for study

For example,

like here

this plasma membrane

membrane是膜

member是成员

membrane means to cover all

那么这里就有一个词了 plasma

plasma它的词根是表示浆原生质

This is a new one

But we’ll encounter this plasm very soo

The next is cytoplasm cytoplasm

plasm是浆 原生质again

cyto-是指的细胞

cyto-是一个前缀

但是也可以把它当作是词根

这个没有什么关系

plasm是浆

原生质是做词根用的 这里就有两个了

好 第三个

Plasmodesma plasmodesma

它的复数形式要稍微注意一下

是胞间连丝 这里

plasm/o

这个地方加了一个combining vowel

plasmodesma

And any other words related to this thing

Well no We’ll come back

没有了再过来看cyto-细胞

做词根用的这个地方

作前缀 这里就有一个cytoskeleton

这里again we meet this prefix again

表示细胞skeleton是骨架

那么cytoskeleton 细胞骨架

那再从哪个单词入手呢

you’ll see something new

This is mitochondria

这个要注意一下

mitos是一个词根 表示线

khondrion是小粒

这个在原来的语言来自希腊语

在原来的语言中是KH

到英语里面去转化了 成了CH

你如果去查一下词源在线的词典

会发现蛮多这样的情况

这是线粒体

and跟线粒体有什么关系

没有关系

这里就只有找别的词了

一个peroxisome peroxisome

这里有一个per-是表示通过 穿过

ox/y是氧 -some是一个后缀

表示体或者是身体

We’ll encounter some of it again

this is nucleus核 细胞核

and ribosome发现没有

这里又再碰到一次了

这里-some 表示体 身体

ribo是核酸 -some是体

那么ribosome是核糖体

这些例子呢可以让我们发现

它这些词根 前缀 后缀

你在别的地方都可以碰到

尤其在一个系统里面

在一个组织里面

这些表达方式可能会重复出现

有些构词成分会重复出现

通过这种集中的这种学习

就比较容易掌握这些东西

We have further study of the words

words related to cells and their functions

我们还可以把一些看上去有关系的词

放在一起进行分析 比较

We’ll find a lot

for example

like the word you’ll encounter in these cells

and their functions is chromosome

chromosome

The root of chromosome is chrom

and -some是一个后缀 表示体

还有像这个anabolism

它的表示累积

大块这个anabole

去查的话

会发现anabole是表示累积或者是大块

-ism 然后也是名词性的词尾

接下来还有一个catabolism

catabolism是异化作用或者分解作用

它的词根是katabole表示什么东西扔下

或者是分解

同样还是-ism

名词性的词尾

表示一种情况

再一个就是大家熟悉的词了

metabolism表示新陈代谢的

它的词根metabole

然后-ism表示名词的一个词尾

我们把这几个词

234这几个词放在一起进行比较的话

你会发现something common well

anabolism anabolic 是它的形容词

anabole是它的动词 去分解

ana-表示向上

bole是表示扔 或者是达到

然后catabolism名词catabolic形容词

katabole是它的词源词根

然后kata或cata是向下

一个词根

也可以做前缀

bole是扔 或者是达到

metabolism metabolic形容词

然后它的词根metabole

meta-是改变

接下来 bole是什么

是扔 或者是达到

通过这个分析

我们在字典上不一定能够查到

bole是表示扔或者是达到

这样的一个词根

但是我们有几个词进行一个比较分析之后

找到它的相同点

可以把它扩充到我们自己的构词法词库当中去

前面有提到细胞

talk about cells

Then we talk about tissue

You study the tissue

and the organs and the systems for yourselves after class

That is the exercise assigned to you after class

The second part is Abdominopelvic Regions and Quadrants

这也是一个超长的词

读起来 不知道从什么地方下口

一般情况下也是要先看看它的结构

它的结构是abdomin/o 是一个胃

pelvi/o 是指的骨盆

-ic是形容词的后缀

那么这是指的什么样的一个区域

We’ll look at the picture figure

This is the abdominopelvic cavity

You’ll see divide this word into two parts

this abdomen this stomach

pelvic是骨盆

cavity是腔

这个腔是经常会碰到的

先从左上角开始

left hypochondriac是左胁

hypo-是表示在什么下面

我们在第一单元第二单元的时候就曾经讲过

hypo-是表示too little 太低太少

这是指在什么下面 表示位置了

chondr/o是表示cartilage 是肋骨

这个词呢也要稍微注意一下 它有两个意思

查字典的时候就会发现一个就是表示侧部

胃上侧部 还有一个是疑病症

就是认为自己得了病的那种病症

Now We’ll see others like epigastric

gastric是胃 胃的

gastr/o 胃 gastric

epi-在什么上面

那么是腹上部的

腹上部对应到的就是腹下部

腹下部在这个地方

We have hypo-在什么下面

gastr/o是胃

-ic是形容词的后缀

也是什么什么的

接下来左上角左下角就是

left lumbar左腰的地区

lumb/o是表示腰区

相对应就是右边了

右边之后

这边有一个umbilical

umbilical是脐带的

umbilical是中央部位的

pertaining to the navel 这个是指的肚脐部位

中央部位

那么这样子

这个位置我么就可以基本上了解了

所以

一张图我们可以解决掉很多术语

And then we’ll come to these other parts

We can find other parts. Other cavities

The body’s parts可以有很多其他的表述方式

You’ll come to these words after class

可以从背部去看人的身体

也有不同的称呼

这里是cavity

是从腔这里着手

有其他的一些术语

在我们的练习里面会给很多这样的图片

来让大家去把这些术语了解

掌握 并且通过练习能够记熟它
