气味进入鼻腔

与味道不同 他们有很多不同形式的气味

嗅觉受体细胞将气味的化学能
转成神经系统的电化学能
嗅觉和记忆
大脑的嗅觉区域紧密相连与
大脑的记忆区域
所以想象一下 你没有体验孩童般的快乐
已经有很长一段时间了
可能有10年
即使你长时间没有看见某个食物
但是一旦气味传来 记忆也跟着来了
这是因为这两个区域是非常密切相关的
传统上 味觉包括甜 咸 酸 苦
最近 第五种味道的受体被发现 被称为 鲜
这是新鲜鸡肉的味道
如果你是素食主义者
那么这第五种味道的鲜是指蘑菇的味道
实际上 这五种味道都与我们的生存功能紧密相关
甜味暗示能量来源
咸味暗示钠 是生理过程的必需品
所以婴儿天生喜欢甜味和咸味也就不足为奇了
同样的 对于超过6个月以上的宝宝
他或她可能也喜欢鸡肉的 鲜味
所以鲜味意味着蛋白质 对生长和组织修复来说至关重要
另外两个口味 酸 苦 通常称为后天习得的味道
作为人类的我们 在后来才开始喜爱他们
酸在自然界环境中
通常意味着某种有毒的酸性物质
苦通常指有毒的东西
所以婴儿天生避开这两种味道
