Professor Larry Susskind's research interests focus on the theory and practice of negotiation and dispute resolution. He advises companies and agencies on how to improve the negotiation success of their employees and serves as a mediator in some of the most complex resource management disputes around the world.
Professor Susskind is the author or co-author of twenty books including Good for You, Great for Me: Finding the Trading Zone and Win-Win Negotiation (Public Affairs Press), Built to Win: Creating a World-Class Negotiating Organization (Harvard Business School Publishing), Multiparty Negotiation (Sage), Breaking Robert's Rules (Oxford), The Consensus Building Handbook (Sage), and Dealing with An Angry Public (Free Press).
Professor Susskind is currently Director of the MIT Science Impact Collaborative. He is also founder and Chief Knowledge Officer of the Consensus Building Institute, a Cambridge-based, not-for-profit that provides mediation services around the world. He was one of the co-founders of the interuniversity Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, where he now serves as Vice Chair for Instruction.
