当前课程知识点:Socially-Responsible Real Estate Development: Learning to Use Impact Assessment Tools Effectively > Course Wrap Up > Further Resources > Further Resources
For those interested in further exploring the topics raised during the course, we recommend the following books as a place to begin. They offer in-depth looks at both EIA and SIA, including discussions of how to conduct the technical aspects of these assessments. They also review how different national contexts influence assessment processes. In addition, Susskind’s book provides those interested with a fuller understanding of the role of stakeholder parties in dispute processes.
Barrow, C. (2000). Social impact assessment: an introduction. London: Arnold.
This book overviews the what, where, how, why, and when of SIAs and reviews their application in different contexts, such as developing countries, changing environmental situations, and urbanization.
