我们知道Voronoi图
是一种非常非常基本的几何结构
很多后续的算法和处理
都是建立在它的基础之上
那么我们首先
其实要回答的一个问题就是
这样一种基础性的几何结构
它自己的复杂度有多少呢
比如说它可能需要占用多少空间呢
如果它的占用的空间过大
那么也许它自己就会带来
额外的很多开销
当然你应该知道
消息肯定是正方面的
没错 现在我们就来给出
并且证明一下这个结论
为了对Voronoi图
自身的复杂度做严格的界定
我们首先要对它做一个增强或者改造
因为我们注意到
它还不是严格意义上讲
图论中的图 graph
其中每一条边未必都有两个端点
有一些像ray
只有一个端点
而如果在特殊的情况下
它还有line的话
连一个端点都没有
凡此种种
没有端点的那些边
所谓的无界的边
我们都会像这样
强行的将它掰弯了 掰弯了
然后统一的指向一个新引入的
称作为无穷远的一个顶点
不难理解
经过了这样的一番改造
Voronoi图确实成为了一个
真正意义上的graph
而且在一般情况下
这个graph
会成为一个连通图
现在我们可以给出我们的结论
我们说由n个site
所定义的Voronoi图
在平面上
它的顶点的数目和边的数目
都大致是在2n和3n的范围
如果我们把big O加上去
在渐近的意义上讲
我们可以得出结论说
无论是它的顶点的数目
还是它边的数目
都是呈线性关系
与整个site集的规模的
这意味着什么呢
这意味着我们只需要O(n)的空间
就足以存储和表示
一幅Voronoi图了
这是一个再好不过的消息了
也正因为这个原因
Voronoi图才能够成为
解决很多问题的
一个基础性的有利的工具
那么这样一个结论
又当如何证明呢
